1953 Topps Mantle - Fake, Real and/or Trimmed?
 

Hi All,
I rarely make impulse purchases but this was one of them. I really should have done my research before pulling the trigger on this card but forgot about it until today and when I noticed that it was still at my price range, I decided to put in a bid. I obviously don't have the card in my hand yet so can't get a whole lot of pictures yet but based on the below pictures, do you think this is fake and if it's not fake, may it be trimmed? The red rectangle in the back doesn't seem straight which I didn't noticed until I zoomed into the photo.

I really sound like a rookie and am somewhat embarrassed given my risk-aversion to any non-graded items. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Go easy on me : )

From the scan, it looks like the real deal to me, untrimmed. About a 1.5 or 2.5 because of the multiple wrinkles. nicely centered, no paper loss...looks like a nice card to me. Dave.:)

Not the best scan but from what I can see the wear looks legit. The centering is some of the best I've seen on the 53s.

Looks real...best you can hope for is a '1'. Had one just like it with less wrinkles....it got a '1', but I got a premium price because it didn't look like a '1'.

Yes, it has a lot of wrinkles and even though it would grade low it displays great overall! Thanks all for your help! Sorry about my cell phone pictures being worse than the originals posted above.
