Debating whether I should grade this
Picked this up this weekend and was curious if you guys that it was grading worthy. I know it's a common, but it's from a mid-1950s set, and if it will grade high enough then I think it will be worth it.
But that's the question. Will it grade high enough (8 or above) to make it worth it. The card is crease free upon inspection of both front and back. It is a piece of hair in the top loader near the hat. Thoughts? http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6d66666a.jpg http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7f3eb375.jpg |
No way in hell is that card an '8'. Save your money.

Bottom left corner on the front. Top right corner on the reverse....

Here is a similar, if not BETTER looking card I just got back from PSA. Same background color and everything.....notice the grade they gave it...
http://img2.sellersourcebook.com/use.../@@_img897.jpg This card looks AWESOME to the naked eye. Even when you tip it in the light, you can see the gloss on the card (You usually can't see gloss on a 1955 card)..... |

I am thinking '4' or '4.5'. Definitely keep it raw!

No way does that common look better than the Koufax. The Koufax got a '5'. The only way it grades higher than the Koufax is because of it being a common, PSA might be more lenient on the grade. I would like to believe that doesn't happen over there.
