Dom or Joe Dimaggio Bat?
Bat mesures 36".
On the barrel it reads; Genuine DiMaggio Model No. 215 I can't make out the manufacturer. It might say Little Rock AR. I figure it's just a little leaguer, but I'd like to know. It's pretty heavy. Pretty sure it says:
Southwest Manufacturing Co. (something I can't read) Leaguer Air-Dried Little Rock AR. But I can barely find and info on it. |
Pretty sure I had a little league bat made by Southwest Manufacturing. I inherited it from an older cousin who would have played with it in the late 50s. Of course, at 36" your bat is no little league model.

It says 'Texas Leaguer'
I have three of these bats, all full size and all Model 215. I have Di Maggio, Kiner and Gordon (Joe, I'm assuming). Re which DiMaggio, no real way of knowing unless you can find a bat catalog for this manufacturer. I actively looked for quite a few years and never found one, but it's been a long while since I looked. |
Ah, Texas Leaguer, Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea when they were made?
