Poor Fred!

Did anyone else notice yesterday when the film was played to introduce Hank O'Day in Cooperstown that it was mentioned that he made the famous ruling in the "Frank" Merkle incident in 1908. I ran the DVR back three times to make sure what was said!

I am a huge fan of work the folks at the HOF do, they do not make many mistakes.

To be frank, he got the call right!

Fredly, I don't give a Frank...

I did notice that and was wondering if I heard it right. They really butchered the old time players. As I mentioned in the other thread, Selig twice called the Players' League the Pacific League and he had no idea NA stood for National Association, as evident by the long pause, then skipping it twice.

Bud. Light.

I was teasing about the Fred/Frank comment. That blunder was appalling..

I know Bud brought baseball back to Milwaukee, and for that I'm eternally grateful (otherwise I might have grown up as a Cubs fan. Eww...). But, it's time for him to step down as the Commissioner.

You know, guys, I didn't even check any of the Hall of Fame induction video, or articles. That might be a first for me.
