Babe Ruth Auto Opinion
I am seeking advice/help to see if my babe ruth auto is authentic. My dad found this in his great aunts scrap book afew years ago. They lived in detroit there whole lives. this is a rain check ticket stub that has been used. I checked the 1927 schedule and the yankees and tigers played each other on this day. It doesnt look like his other autos from this time but the rain check stub is small and i would guess be harder to hold and sign. any thoughts would be greatfully apprieciated.
thanks |
Sorry, but I don't think this was signed by Ruth, IMO

That ticket does not contain an authentic signature of Babe Ruth, the famous baseball player.

Babe
Unfortunately,
That's not the babes signature |
Looks more like Babe Rush.
|
Definitely not Ruth.

Thanks for the opinions, i didn't think it looked quite right so i thought i would ask. I didn't have my hopes set high or anything like that.
thanks again |
just a thought but perhaps the writer simply noted that he/she saw Babe Ruth play that day...
|
Good thought, but seriously, how could you NOT know that wasn't Babe? The internet is a wonderful place:)

Bad news is that it's not a legit Babe Ruth autograph. The good news is that July 9th was a double header and Ruth hit two homeruns in the first game. I'm pretty sure a Ruth or 1927 Yankees collector may be interested in the ticket if you are planning on selling it.
