Website for Vintage Photos

I recently won some pretty nice autographs of players in the T206 set. I would like to frame them with 8x10 (reprint) photos but am having trouble finding a website that sells old photos. I specifically need Bobby Wallace, Eddie Collins, and Honus Wagner. Does anyone know of a website that sells old (reprint) photos? Thanks!

You can buy photos from that era from the Conlon Collection:

They're all over ebay. I would be surprised if there's a player you can't find to match your autos. You will see multiple images/poses for each.

You should be able to get the deal done for under $30, with shipping included.

Those were my first two thoughts exactly. The Conlon Collection has a nice selection of shots of all 3 players, and will be high-quality photos (produced from the original glass plate negatives), but it sounds like they may be more pricey than what you're looking to spend.

Ebay is the other route, and at the opposite end of the spectrum in both price and (usually) quality. As in, they're usually cheap, and usually look that way. Almost all photos on eBay will be from screen grabs from auction sites or the Library of Congress which are printed with a desktop printer on (if you're lucky) photo paper. Just be sure to read through the feedback for whoever you're buying from, and judge that vs. the quality you need for your project.

You can get them from the HOF also.

Rich,
Does the HOF have anything resembling a website with searchable images you can order from, or is everything a custom search communicated by phone or e-mail? Not trying to question your statement, I've just never gotten any photos from the HOF, and am wondering what the process is (other than going in person, that is).

Thanks everyone. I tried ebay for Bobby Wallace (first) and couldn't find any. Richard, I tried the HOF website first and couldn't find any vintage pics at all. Does anyone know where (in the HOF website) specifically? Thanks again fellas.

I like this one from ebay the best (to frame with an auto...)

They have others as well...

Perezfan, thanks so much. I'm going with the same one you like; the first one. Thanks again my man!

Glad to help... Cool image and a great choice, IMO

The Library of Congress has many photos you can download. TIFF files will produce very high quality images from most inkjet printers and with the use of high quality photo paper. However, Bobby Wallace doesn't appear to have great images for display (one of him as a manager with Hal Chase http://www.loc.gov/pictures/item/ggb2004009306/ http://lcweb2.loc.gov/service/pnp/gg...300/09306r.jpg, and an action shot http://www.loc.gov/pictures/resource/hec.02868/ ) http://lcweb2.loc.gov/service/pnp/hec/02800/02868r.jpg
