Sterling Pickups (June 2013)

Glad I didn't stay up on this one, waking up to find a win is more satisfying when you don't have to struggle through the day afterwards

The red portraits are usually orange when the back is brown Hindu. Tinker and Chance same thing. Nice win

npa589 06-21-2013 09:49 AM

Picked up several tougher backs for my T206 Cubbies master set, but missed out on a couple EPDG Cubs in the wee hours of the morning.

Nice EPDGs Erick, hopefully we weren't fighting on any of these! :D

Ahh damn, thought I had a back front combo going, oh well...came under where I was expecting anyway so it's all good either way.

Very nice cards everyone

I was in on those two EPDG; have a severely trimmed Kling which kept me from going higher. A little regret on the Tinker and Chance, but happy you got one of them.

I'm also regretting my decision to not go higher on the Chance, as that was probably a good price for that combo. It could be a while before we see one again.

Same with my Merkle portrait. Almost orange when all his other cards are deep red.

Great pick-ups everyone. There were some excellent T206s in that auction. I'm sorry I had to sit it out, but I had some other excitement going on here.

Sean: :D --- definitely, but not on the Schulte Back View S460, I didn't need that one.

Rob: I probably should have been in on the Schulte Front View Sov, but for some reason have this idea I'll find another one... Very tough combo.

I realize that I gave advice not to buy cards with back damage, but I bought this one anyway. I think it's cool that it is the only publicly known example. If someone else has this card, please post it.
