1936 Inaugural Hall of Fame Autographed Ball
Does anyone know if any of these exist and are available?
|
They would be from 1939. I've seen a few, Google will no doubt take you to some from past auction results, etc.
|
programs, postcards, and baseballs "signed" but are they all real?
|
It's a good bet they're not all real.

Here's mine (pictured...)
Farley was the U.S. Postmaster, and Speaker is on sweetspot. Ball also has Collins, Mack, Baker, Simmons, Sisler, et al. Here's another authentic one... https://catalog.scpauctions.com/LotD...entoryid=23232 And another, but perhaps "not so much" (on the authenticity...) http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/6385918 |

I have a ball autographed by Ruth, Johnson, Wagner, and Cobb (4 of the 5 original HOFers). The ball also has signatures of Mack, Collins, Sisler, and Speaker. It's a pretty amazing ball. I don't know if I'll ever sell it.

Pictures?
@ honus94566: can you send some pics, please?
|
Yes, they exist
One was offered through SCP last year (it was previously sold in 1997)...

I have one with Ruth, Wagner, Johnson, Speaker, Sisler, Collins, Mack, Baker, Dickey and Grove! Cobb is on a separate ball. Still chasing Mathewson if anyone has!

Not looking for a HOF ball with Matty, just him on any ball would be great!
