What kind of collection does this guy have where the "pride" of his collection is a reprint? :eek:

I like the fact that he is listing a $1000 Reprint and then he says "I only have a handful of these left".

I wonder if anybody ever buys stuff like this, sooner or later the seller may find a fool.

As a matter of fact, yes. A Wagner reprint similar to this but aged to look like PSA 1 or 2 sold for just over $650.00. The seller was from Slovakia of all places!

I emailed the seller asking him, if he lost his mind. He responded with this:

"Have you?...Do you see a better Reprint than this one? When you do let me know!! You know the 2 million Gretzky Wagner is an Altered Card right and Mastro, the guy who ruined the card went to jail. That's criminal trying to rip people off of millions of dollars. I sell exactly what is listed!! When you yourself can get a better reprint than this one, let me know...I would like one too!! Until then this is the BEST On ebay NOW!!"

Legendary Auctions just sold a lot with 3,000 of these. Lot 908. Went for $508. That is just under $.17 cents each.

Not the same thing at all. The reprints we are talking about in this thread are much more realistic with no indication on the front or back that it is a reprint. Some are aged to look like low grade Wagners.

No, save your money for the real cards. ;) I do see a purpose for a quality reprint, i.e. filler for a set but not for $1000.00. :eek:

very true, if someone is willing to pay $$$$ for a reprint, well then that's their issue.

a reprint is a reprint, they are slabbing and grading reprints now, insanity.

The seller is an idiot? I don't think so. Unethical perhaps but not an idiot, especially if he can find a buyer at this overinflated price. Now, if you were talking about a buyer who would fork over one grand for a reprint then I'd agree.

Why not just settle for the real t206 wagner
