Topps Scavenger Hunt
Just thought I'd drop an idea...if no one cares, no biggie. I personally love reasons to look through my cards, and I noticed in one of my 50's there was a shot of a player wearing a batting helmet. Got to thinking...I wonder what card was the first to bear a helmet considering they were just coming of age? So...here is a list, I say we find the "first" of the following in Topps cards. If something is in the same year, we can take the earlier number -
1. First Topps card showing a player in sun glasses 2. First Topps card showing a player using batting gloves 3. First Topps card showing a player wearing a batting helmet 4. First Topps card with a picture during an actual game 5. First Topps card picturing another player (in the background) near player 6. First Topps card picturing a player in a dugout 7. First Topps card showing a player with a wad of tobacco in 8. First Topps card pictured without a hat on 9. First Topps card with the ball in the air 10. First Topps card to show a microphone 11. First Topps card to picture and identify two players from different teams 12. First Topps card to picture an actual base or home plate Ok...when someone post a scan, the goal with be to outdo them to identify the first of's...off to look through my cards! I hope this isn't too nerdy...:D Feel free to add any ideas to look for more cards.. |
