"Sixty Homers"

One of my favorite eras in American history was the 1920's. When I read about the 1920's, I usually read a book I have called "The Lawless Decade" by Paul Sann. The book is copyright 1957, and Paul Sann was the Executive Editor of The New York Post. I've read this book cover to cover a few times and always keep it handy as I never get sick of reading it. I love Paul Sann's work.

To my delight, I discovered that there was a site dedicated to this book, with all of it's chapters & photo's (and even additional photo's) and there was an article I'd been wanting to post, as I figured just about everyone would enjoy the article; especially if you love Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig (who doesn't, right! :)). So, here's the article titled "Sixty Homers", I hope you all enjoy the read: http://www.lawlessdecade.net/27-11.htm

Also, thank you Howard, if you are reading this.

Sincerely, Clayton

Hi Howard,

No, the Howard I thanked is Paul Sann's son, the owner of the site. When I was on the site, and reading the copyright I thought I should ask permission to link to his site. He was very nice about it and thanked me for asking, and told me to go for it.

That site actually has the whole book, along with added pictures and video's, I really enjoyed it.

Sincerely, Clayton

Thanks for posting this. I always enjoyed Only Yesterday and The Lawless Decade. I loaned both to students many years ago and they were not returned. Now I can read The Lawless Decade again.

You're welcome Bruce!

I'm glad you can enjoy it again. Even though I have an original (beat up) hard copy, I'm really enjoying the site myself.

Sincerely, Clayton
