Vancouver Baseball SABR meeting August 17, 2013
 

Once again, we'll be having the Vancouver NW SABR (www.sabr.org) meeting at Nat Bailey Stadium on August 17, 2013 from 1 to 4. Afterwards, get together at our house , followed by a game that night --with post-game fireworks.

Further details are on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/#!/events/517670091616199/ . The focus in our meetings is on getting ex-ballplayers to talk about their time, usually in the minors. It's always been a fun event, and is open to all, SABR member or not. No admission. A number of our speakers have been featured on vintage baseball cards: from Ernie Kershaw (Vancouver peanuts) to Arnie Hallgren and Bill Whyte (Vancouver popcorn), as well as some AAA players more recent and a couple major leaguers (Ossie Chevarria and Simon Pond)

Two hours and twenty five minutes from downtown Seattle if you time the border right or get a Nexus pass (should be mandatory for those in the NW !! https://goes-app.cbp.dhs.gov/main/goes along with a passport to cross the border)
