1975 Topps Brett PSA 10

I am hoping to get some input here: I own a 1975 Topps #228 George Brett graded PSA 10. I know Dmitri Young's was sold by SCP for about $11,500, and the last one sold publicly was in 2007 or something.

I'd like to find out to whom I should consign this card. I deal a lot in pre-WWII cards, so knowing who might be the best post-WWII card seller/auctioneer is a little out of my field.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

i deal with Heritage often. They do have a wide amount of lots. Pre-war and Post-war.
That be my best suggestion. But if you do notice...PWCC has been getting top bids on their items as well. Shilling or what not..its the talk on the board.
here is a link, of auction house schedules, whats open and when:

Wow, would I love to own it :(
I guess Heritage or SCP, etc would be good also Sirus. Personally I take
the buyers fee into account when I bid and its strong. I have bought a lot
of really nice PSA cards on ebay and I know a lot of the Brett collectors
watch it religiously, me for one. Another thing on ebay if they have good
credit a buyer can get alittle help with the Pay later feature.
Scan it so I can drool :)

PRobstein and PWCC (eBay) have lower fees and I think this card could do just as well here as with an auction house. Goldin Auctions has only a 10% buyer's premium and got some great action. Legendary, Heritage and SCP might also be good fits.

Let me know where you put it. I'll bid on it, won't get it, but will
drive the price up I'm sure :)

PWCC for Probstein. Their results speak for themselves. That card will get all the eyeballs it needs in ebay, and you get credit card buyers in the mix as well.

Beautiful card.

**If you want to go a private route and save tons on fees, send me a message; I'm interested and have numerous references when it comes to buying such items.

Best,

Matt

If Matty C is the same guy from the CU forums on the 1975 Topps Mini threads, I would sell with him. He has a ton of knowledge, and a bunch of people he knows that would be willing and more importantly, able to purchase this cards for the dollar amounts it deserves.

thunderdan 05-13-2013 04:21 PM

I know Matty C from CU as well (I'm thunderdan), and I have nothing but positive to say about him.

However, I wouldn't mind a crack at this as well as I tend to focus on smaller quantity but higher $ cards.

It may be moot already if he's sent it to an AH or PWCC/Probstein.
