Hiring Bryan to REA auctions makes this auction house a better auction house.
Great job on the interview Bryan. |
Lookin' good Brian, you're big time.

The obvious pressing question for Brian is is Michelle Steele as cute in person as she is on television.
Brian came across well. Well spoken. Coming across as a normal guy rather than a television personality when representing an auction house is a good thing in my opinion. In short, don't take acting lessons from Dick Vitale. Actually, one of my big pet peeves in the world is the way tv newscasters and reporters talk, including Michelle Steele in this segment. Is there a required class in journalism school for talking like that? It profoundly annoys me. Wait, what were we talking about again? Oh yeah, good job, Brian. |
Hopefully Brian will be face of hobby
but I think Brian has much bigger things in his future than just baseball cards. He is a very intelligent, incredibly likable, highly ethical young man his future is brighter than cardboard. Though he may choose to stay as he will do just fine and I am sure he enjoys the hell out of it.

I don't know Brian like everyone here, but yes, did extremely well! My job requires public speaking and have had to speak on TV a couple times and I can tell you it isn't easy or even enjoyable.... I sure would LOVE to own that Maris bat, WOW. Great item. |

Well done Mr. Dwyer!

Didn't know Brian was that young (or at least looks that young). I had talked to him on the phone before very briefly, and for some reason thought he sounded older. A very small sample size, but it seems like ex-SGC employees are doing very well with Brian at REA and Derek Grady at Heritage. For some reason you don't hear of the people from PSA going anywhere other than that guy who started up GAI.

None better than Dwyer! Well done, B!

In the scheme of things, Ms. Steele isn't that bad. I find Diane Sawyer unlistenable. To me at least, Diane Sawyer reads the news as if she's reading bedtime stories to five year olds. It's like Mr. Rogers is reading us the news. It's this unnaturally paced, overmelodramatically enunciated form of talking that is normal on television, but if you did it on the street people would wonder what's wrong with you.
I should note that people have told me I've unusually aware and interested in peoples' accents, so this is the type of thing that would stick out to me. It's a television accent. |
