'53 Topps Mantle Value

Been looking around for a 1953 Topps Mantle and have a question. How much would a beater go for? I'm not picky; looking more for PC than anything to resell or anything like that. Something that would rate a 1 or 1.5 with decent looks. As long as the front is in somewhat presentable condititon. Budget isn't huge and with a house purchase in the next month or so I'm just looking to see how much I'll need to put aside.

My guess is you will pay around $500.00 or so. Mantle cards hold their value, and a nice example ( even in a lower grade ) will command a premium. Good Luck in your search!

if this is for your PC, may i say....try save a bit more $$$ and buy a better one.
It was one of my 1st Mantle cards..my was a PSA 3...
Suggest compare on the Ebay completed listing or even better..try subscribing to VCP.
500-600 could buy a decent 2-4 range. Plus it dictates, if its a SGC, BVG, or PSA.
PSA tends to go for a bit more. DOnt forget, if you decide to go into the lower1-2 range...they will tend to have creasing and bad corners.

I picked up a relatively attractive PSA 2MC. Although I cannot recall the exact price, I could not imagine I paid more than $500 for it (I believe it was probably closer to $400).
