O/T:For all of you who doubt me paying the card dealers I owe money to!!!

Message to all the people who doubt me and my coin sale:

My friend just called he purchased his plane ticket and will be in my town tomorrow and once the money is deposited (and cleared by my bank at the very same time...just called my bank to let them know and they said no problem we will clear it the same exact day you deposit it) into my account I will then pay all the dealers from who I purchased a card from in FULL.

So to all the haters out there please take note I am a honest buyer and respect my obligations (99% of the time like almost anyone here....nothing is 100% in life when it comes to humans and the way they behave).

Leon 04-24-2013 10:57 AM

Hi Adrian
Most of us are not doubting you. I am sure you will take care of your purchases as you have said. You have 1 more new thread today and 13 more posts. Please use them wisely. If I were you I would consolidate all of my thoughts and then post, instead of responding to every post as you have been doing. You shouldn't even respond to this one as you will have 1 less to use if you do. Good luck!!

Tao_Moko 04-24-2013 11:01 AM

Shouldn't you have posted this after your payment has been posted and accounts have been paid? C'mon man!

Matthew H 04-24-2013 11:05 AM

Thanks Adrian, pleas let us know when his plane lands, and how his flight was.

atx840 04-24-2013 11:09 AM

Pretzels or cookies. I'm a foodie.

Nice to read that Adrian ! Hope your deal will conclude with 200K in your pocket!

tiger8mush 04-24-2013 11:32 AM

we should start a poll on which airline the rich friend used.

Glad to hear that your coin deal will be finalized! Enjoy your new cards!

p.s. My birthday is coming up in May. Just sayin'. ;)

drc 04-24-2013 11:53 AM

I have had no good reason to believe you weren't buying/paying for the stuff.

You could probably consolidate your threads into one or two threads, but I don't have anything material against what you post or what you've picked to purchase. My 78 year old dad would refer to you as a yahoo, but he calls me a yahoo sometimes.

Zone91 04-24-2013 11:59 AM

Thanks to those who responded with a positive attitude...just trying to clear any doubts here nit trying to look like a SHOW OFF!!!

drc 04-24-2013 12:07 PM

I haven't followed the prices you have been paying. The cards themselves you've picked are fine cards-- I don't think anyone here would say otherwise--, but unless you're a multi millionaire, I'd be conscious of paying reasonable prices.

Matthew H 04-24-2013 12:14 PM

Adrian's a lot of fun, I'm glad he's here. He also appears to have some pretty thick skin, which probably prompts more razzing than usual.

Cardboard Junkie 04-24-2013 12:26 PM

I like Adrian. I would like to see him pick an appropriate avatar, hmmmm, food for thought. Dave

deadballfreaK 04-24-2013 12:31 PM

I was in a bad mood, but this thread has me chuckling. BTW to all the people I owe money good luck!

"You could probably consolidate your threads into one or two threads"

Actually, all the threads could be consolidated into no posts

iwantitiwinit 04-24-2013 01:13 PM

Ha ha pretty good one

frankbmd 04-24-2013 01:22 PM

Should be a new thread, but I'm not Adrian

Let's keep those Adrian Avatars coming.

This one is nice, only 7.7 Kb, and respects those who care to ignore.

Zone91 04-24-2013 01:23 PM

Hahahaha gotta love Homer Simpson (I guess he is crazy/stupid like I am some times that is for sure) with that Mantle. How do I use it as my image for my profile?

ElCabron 04-24-2013 01:45 PM

People are selling this guy cards without payment in full? Every time I hear about someone getting their arms ripped off by sticking them in the cage to feed a lion, my first thought is how tragic and horrible it is. My second thought is, "Why the hell are they sticking their arms in a lion's cage? It's a freaking lion. What did they think was going to happen???"

It can be "Seller beware," too. The saying doesn't just have to apply to buyers.

And I'm about as lenient as it comes as far as letting people pay after sending them the cards first.

The sellers I know are not shipping until paid in full. The deals were made but are awaiting consummation.

Enjoy yourself and try not to take it personal. Some in this crowd have nothing better to do than try to rain on your parade.

Some of those sellers must feel like Anne of Cleves.

Personally, I just ran 8 miles, slept on the beach for 2 hours, then came here to rain on Adrian's parade. Next I'm taking the dog to the park, then we're going to sit in a beer garden for happy hour. Might even come back and rain on Adrian's parade some more. In fact, I might write a song and use that line..."someone left a card out in the rain...."

Gotta go - say "hello" to Randy for me!

(someone should go into the pedestal-building business :))

Zone91 04-24-2013 04:49 PM

Thanks for the positive feedback's guys!!!:)

Delray Vintage 04-24-2013 04:57 PM

Anne of cleves

Of all posts this wins a prize for needing most historical knowledge to understand. Henry the eighth found Anne repulsive and never consummated their marriage. At least she kept her head. I assume the sellers will have a happy marriage and consummate these sales.

Although not specifically targeted at anyone in particular, I must have touched a nerve. I leave you the same words of wisdom. Try not to take things too personal.

Well, Scott, everyone knows that it rains a lot in Seattle. That's what makes the pedestals a bit slippery out there.

Frank, don't be so predictable. You are following a well-known internet formula: you post dribble, you get rebuked, you claim you "touched a nerve" and then offer sage advice.

I don't take the internet personal. You posted rubbish and I responded.

Don't take things too personal

I have Randy, and I sincerely apologize for making a few argumentative comments toward you earlier in the day. If you want to tell me I'm full of shlt, feel free - I'll just listen.

Off to cook a fish.

I've recently decided to start treating all of you like the Barry's. If I'm mistaken, then the worst that can happen is I either leave you confused, or thinking I'm an idiot, and with the latter you would be in good company.

toledo_mudhen 04-25-2013 05:01 AM

Whole lot a "consumatin" goin on round here...............

Tao_Moko 05-04-2013 05:35 AM

Just curious........

1. What avatar are you going to select?

2. Has everyone been paid for their cards?

Zone91 05-07-2013 05:35 AM

Tao Moko

Yes they have ALL been paid in full!!! Echecks on Ebay take a while (plus I had to wait to get paid for my coin from my friend before I could send the Echecks....it took altogether about 3 weeks for ALL the sellers to get paid....and I very much appreciate the dealers who helped me and who trusted me...I will for sure buy from these guys in the future)....but yes the money has cleared for all the cards I purchased. In the future I will simply pay right away and only use a Echeck for items of greater value.

Leon can confirm this since he knows a few of the sellers.

JollyRoger 05-07-2013 06:12 PM

Not sure of the point of this thread. I'm sure (or at least I'd like to think) all members here pay for their purchases. My rule of thumb is I never make purchases unless I have the cash in hand. Anyway, I don't know why anyone here would be interested in your personal business (except sellers awaiting payment of course). With that said, welcome to the hobby, and happy collecting!

Zone91 05-07-2013 06:30 PM

JollyRoger

It is very simple a few people doubted I paid for some more expensive cards and I simply wanted them to know that the dealers got paid....so I do not look like a bad buyer....and that I am not a liar.

Same here. I had no doubts that Adrian was paying. Some really nice cards. A great start to a great collection. BTW, I bought a card for $35 last week and I paid right away. Just want everyone to know. Just used boring old PayPal though. No airplanes involved.

If arrangements where made BEFORE buying the cards, that it would take 3 weeks for the seller to get there money then everything is good. IF NOT, then it makes you a bad buyer in my opinion.
