Cy Young Cards - Info On "Just So"

The discussion of unbreakable records has gotten me poring over Cy Young's career stats and cards. Would be great to hear what everyone's favorites are of this legend, and what the hobby considers his most desirable, etc.

From a sheerly aesthetic perspective, I love the T206 Glove Shows.

Also, I've found information regarding his Just So Tobacco issue tough to come by-- would be great if anyone has knowledge about that card, how many are known to exist, etc. All I know is that they depicted Cleveland Spiders, are considered very tough to find, and there was a great story years back about a guy who found the lone Buck Ewing behind a wall he was remodeling. I would imagine the Young from this set is quite the beast of a card.

Just So Young

The Just So Young is one of my favorite cards as well. As of current, there is only one example known. If my memory serves correctly, I don't believe it's graded, but if it was, it would grade around a "5." It's in really nice shape.

I wouldn't be surprised that if this card ever came up for auction, it would reach a $1 million - again just my opinion.

Only one! I didn't know that.

Wow. What an amazing card.

I'm always staggered by how Young had a .893 WHIP at age 41-- and that didn't lead the league (while throwing 300 innings). After the age of 30, the man simply did not walk people or allow HRs.

For those who may have an interest, a photo of this card appears in an article on Forbes.com. Photo and link below:

There is only one known and I doubt it will be available any time soon. It is in the collection of a board member. I agree that it could be a high six figure to seven figure card if ever made available.

Talk about the perfect storm of supply and demand. That is one serious card.

Nice E90-1 Greg!! Looks fantastic. As far as my favorite, I swing back and forth between the T206 Portrait and T205.
