Great artist commission experience
1 Attachment(s)
Hi All,
Just wanted to give a shout out to an artist by the name of Scott Pedley. I found his website through a google search and then commissioned him to recreate the famous Currier & Ives baseball print. He is quite talented and his artwork ranges from landscapes to T206 cards! My experience with him was top notch from start to finish. He essentially told me he could customize the painting however I wanted him to and provided me with frequent updates on his progress. Below is the progression from a sketch to the near end painting. I'm so excited to add such a unique piece to my collection and for me it was a no brainer to have a great piece of original artwork vs a Sydney Lucas reproduction. He has some really nice items for sale and is also accepting new commissions. Just wanted to share this excellent experience with you all! http://www.zhibit.org/profile/jspainting George |
Good to hear.

Nice painting.
Cool stuff on his site. My only suggestion for him is that he needs to learn how to spell Mickey Mantle (not Mantel) Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |
Thanks guys! LOL, yes just noticed that typo!

That being said... cool piece and congrats on your addition George! |
George,
It looks great. Well Done. Ben, Sorry, I'm a stickler when it come to spelling. As part of my duty, you should send me that Mantle photo with the terrible spelling, so I can dispose of it for you!:D Best, Mark |
I bet some nights Mantle misspelled his name.
I like the painting a lot. Well done. |
Thank you very much guys! Really looking forward to getting it framed soon. If you didn't see it before, the misspelling is in the subtitle (Elasian vs Elysian). This is the ultra rare variation....lol. I sound like I'm collecting T206 variations!

I have to chime in here with my positive experience with Scott. He's done 3 paintings for me over the past several months. I just got the large scenic painting of McCormick Field in Asheville, North Carolina today. Not only is he very talented, he has been a pleasure to work with and a nice guy.
