If some of you guys have a little time to kill while waiting for Adrian's next post, could you please take a look at this card and tell me what grade you think it should get? I will post its actual grade tomorrow. Thanks.

3-3.5
Great looking card Sean! |
Without the deep crease I'd say a 3 outside a 3.5, with that deep crease I say 2.0
2

definitely nice eye appeal for a low grade card, but i'd guess technically a 1.5 - that crease on the left makes it look like the card has separated most of the way thru
(send it in another day and you may get a different grade, but thats beside the point) |
2
Creases (I see one on the right side as well) and corners keep it from being a 3. Should be a 2 all day long...
Solid 2.
2.....
Btw....
BTW, Adrian has posted 6 times since you started this thread and my post here...
It's going to depend on the grader, but I'd give it a 2.5. If the crease wasn't as strong, you'd get a 3.

1.5

1.5

1.5
1.5-2 depending on how the back looks.
1.5
I'm going to guess 1.48740913201530, but I guess you can round it up to a 1.5 if you want to be like that

Brent's right, PSA should be able to do better than measely half-point increments. I'm in the 1.5 camp. |
2 WITHOUT PAPER LOSS ON BACK:confused:
Dang iPhone screen. Creases hmmm 2-2.5
Probably a 2. Not sure how it could be any higher with that deep crease. Could be as low as 1.5.
1.5 -- looks like heavy chipping on the left border, and perhaps even glue residue above the heavy crease. That level of chipping and glue could make it lower, but I think the eye appeal keeps it in 1.5 territory. Certainly no higher than a 2.0.
I also don't like the top border, but that's another story. I'm guessing you didn't get an AUT holdered. |
Would say 1.5 - 2 depending on the Back............
I'm sorry, but I didn't scan the back. There is no paper loss, it just has the usual staining that one expects to find on a Polar Bear.
2?
4
1 - 1.5
I would say 2
Bases on PSA's grading standards write up, which I had never read until now, it should be 1.5.
Bvg
Bvg 4.5

My next card will come back graded 3.1415926535897932384626433832795... |
Since I did just get my Matty back from SGC in mail today I would say it is a 2 considering I got a 3. Hope you got a 2.5 though...
Only a matter of time...

I bought this one raw and only sent it for grading years later. I expected a 1 or at best a 2. I can't believe this grade, and it seems like all of you agree. Mind you, I'm not complaining. :p
But this is why we say "buy the card, not the holder." Thank you to everyone who took the time to express an opinion. :) |
wow
Lucky you Sean! all of my graded cards seem to go the other way for me!
Wow, 3.5 is surprising. Good for you Sean!
Big surprise....

I'm really starting to get annoyed at this whole 3rd party grading nonsense. I think TPG companies should just drop their grading service and just stick to card authentication. That's it for my Friday rant. |
