Contemplating selling a miscut collection...

When I became active on N54, I was all about the name on top cards and then the two namers. Well, as I get closer to completing my SGC40 set and since I've been dabbling in EPDGs, my love for the name on toppers has begun to fade. My money is spread too thin across three collections, so I think this is the one that loses out, which does sadden me.

I've got a pretty nice collection of 38, most of which can be seen in my registry:
http://sgccardregistry.com/gallery.a...9&userset=5911

The highlights are:
<strike>Cobb Bat On</strike> - TRADED
<strike>Evers Portrait</strike> - SOLD
Tinker Hands On Knee (was a PSA 3MC)
<strike>Chase Dark Cap (Tolstoi)</strike> - TRADED
Eddie Collins
<strike>Walsh</strike> - SOLD
Gandil (Tolstoi)
<strike>Jennings Both Hands</strike> - SOLD

The others:
Arndt
Bescher Hands In Air
<strike>Bransfield</strike> - SOLD
Byrne
Campbell (Old Mill)
<strike>Clancy</strike> - TRADED
Davidson
<strike>Dooin</strike> - TRADED
Doyle With Bat (Tolstoi)
Hannifan (ungraded)
Hayden
Howell
Jordan Portrait
<strike>Kleinow NY With Bat</strike> - SOLD
Lake Ball In Hand (ungraded Old Mill, severely trimmed)
Latham
<strike>McGlynn</strike> - TRADED
Mitchell
<strike>Moriarty</strike> - TRADED
Needham
Pfeffer
<strike>Phillippe</strike> - SOLD
Powell
Schaeffer Washington
Schlei Batting
<strike>Seymour Batting</strike> - TRADED
Happy Smith
Heinie Smith
Lee Tannehill L. On Front
Irv Young

I plan on keeping my three Rossmans, but the others I'd like to move as a single lot. Looking for offers at the moment. I might consider selling singles if the offers are right.

and I know

I know Johnny will try to talk me out of this, but I'm comfortable in my decision.

Omg!!

:eek::eek:

I want to talk you off the LEDGE!:)

I thought collecting the name at tops was one of the coolest ideas to collect the set! when I originally starting collecting, I was going to collect all 2 namers, but changed my focus...I respect your decision, BUT THINK IT OVER AGAIN MY FRIEND!:D

not into T206's BUT those are very cool cards with the names on top! GL man.

I was asked a price... we'll start at $8K for the lot of 38.

mrvster 04-06-2013 09:17 PM

Hi Erick,

I would be interested to negotiate but you caught me 48 hours too late for now as I have a financial committment to another guy for a special card.

I love double names. Here is one of the nicest that I own!!!

Hi Erick,

For whatever reason, I can't browse the cards on your site.

If any are two different names, please let me know.

Thanks,

Erick...speaking of dual namers, I only posted a pic the other day of a barely visiable comma at top and wanted to post this pic matched up to bring your thread back to top. GLuck! Craig
