My T206 Wagner
ok, ok , i Dont collect T206's but the wagner is the top card to have right?
Well this is the closest ill ever get to owning it. And maybe some T206's guys can chime in here, cause i found it a bit interesting. This is a cutout from a 1906 Spalding Guide. As you can see, its the Exact same immage they used in the wagner T206 card. BUT, it dosnt have "PittsBURG" on it, that must of been added in later on to the card. If im not mistaken the T206 cards were made between 09-11 correct? This book was made in 1906, and probably taken in 1905, as its his 1905 season and 1905 team. I found it interesting they (ATC) would use an immage from 4-6 years earlyer and not take or use a current pic. We all know that Wagner didnt want to be on this set of cards for what exact reason still no one knows for sure. But why use this picture? 1 more thing to ponder...If this page pre dates his T206 card, Ill take the first person to give me 1 million for it, lolol. http://n.b5z.net/i/u/6141290/i/HW.jpg |
