Good grief! And I have to fight to get $200 for 1 of those balls. Which I guess makes that a $4k box. I admit, I've never seen the 12-count box for these mini-balls (nice to know how they were packaged now), but I agree that price seems over-the-top. No doubt the seller danced a little jig when the hammer came down! :eek:

Yeah I was capped around $700, and the only reason I was even thinking that high was because it was a complete full box, and would look neat.
There's a big misconception of what these baseballs are...Salesman samples, come on, miniature versions of refrigerators sure, but a ball only slightly smaller, no way. Novelty or souvenir, possibility, but what these baseballs really were: infield training baseballs! smaller versions to train infielders for grounders. They still use them today. Lance, start collecting, get a dozen and find a box! |
