Quick 1941 Playball SGC Question

Could someone let me know why this card has "Collector's Collection" listed on the flip.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1941-PLAYBAL...item2c6ce87fc0

Thanks ahead of time!

Edit:I see now that the seller's ID is "Collector's Collection." Will SGC just put anything you want on the flip now? I contacted them several years ago about something and they stated they would only pedigree a flip in extreme circumstances.

You can pay extra for the pedigree service (customized label). You do have to get approval from SGC, but they offer the service. PSA does the same.

Hope that helps.

Thats right, and Collector's Collection has been selling a ton of graded cards on Ebay recently, i picked up a PSA graded card, and it too had their name on it.

What is it?

What is the Collector's Collection? I have a few cards with that on it also - why? Who is it or what makes it worth putting the name on it? I sent a one in that had cracked for a reholder to sgc, and asked that they remove that from the flip (which they did).

Does anyone know who/what this is?

thx

I don't see why anyone would go through the trouble of paying more for a custom insert when they are going to turn around the sell the card. The sick thing is I strongly considered purchasing their 41' Play Ball Bridges because it has "Collector's Collection" on the flip and mine does not, thus it was a something I didn't have. Then I realized that was stupid logic. Thank god for logic.

My guess is the seller views it as cheap advertising.

+1 and that over time a buyer would somehow feel more confident buying from them (never know, it could be the next Nagy  )

I have noticed their listings as well and I think that a lot of the "Collector's Collection" slabbed cards received a generous grade. jmho
