T206 Sweet Cap 350-460 Fact. 25 vs. Fact. 42
For some reason, the factory 25 ranks as the toughest in scarcity on most lists you see. I have actually found the factory 42 to be tougher, as I have many 25's but just a few 42's. Curious to hear other opinions....

scarcity vs availability
not into them really at this point but i am trying to do a back run and i'm find what you are finding.
scarcity and availability are two different things though. its entirely possible more 42s exist but they are gobbled up in collections. its possible they are hidden because people started 42 collections due to the number of cards in the collection. the monster is that. a monster. i think some people set out for conquerable goals and that can easily be a reason why certian backs have dried up. what we really need is to properly track the card numbers by back. then we would know for sure. i have said this a couple dozen times over the last few years: if the cards are intentionally different they are different cards. even if they are not intentionally different they can be recognized as different. failure to recognize them as distinct cards is a disservice to the hobby, espcially with all of these triple die cut, uniform, red signature 1 of 1 chance in a bagillion pack pull inserts cards they catalouge, grade and track nowadays. kevin |
I have 53 total t206 cards. Of those 15 are sweet cap backs and 3 of those are factory 25. I don't care about the factory and would trade them if someone is interested.

42s are much harder in my experience.

I also have more F25s than the other SC350-460 backs.

My experiences have been that Factory 25 examples are more difficult than Factory 42 (No Overprint). When trying to locate an example of each Factory 42 to build our checklist, we were able to find most fairly quickly. The last few took a bit longer, but the entire list was completed pretty easily. The Factory 25's on the other hand have been much slower going, with several still unconfirmed.

I have never collected by factory. I had no idea, but I just looked at the nearly 600 T206s I currently own.
F25 - 3 F30 - 8 F42 - 9 F42OP - 12 also one overprint with no factory number that I can see Edit: The factory # was hidden because the overprint is a little off center. Had to blow up it see it. Another 42. http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/...ps35921eb5.jpg |

Sweet Caporal 350-460 Fac. 25 vs. Fac. 42
I currently have 798 different front back combinations. I have only 2 SC 350-460 Fac. 25 and 2 SC 350-460 Fac. 42, but I feel from what I have seen that Fac. 25 is much tougher. On another subject it has been awhile since anyone has sent me any new data for the "Super Set". If anyone would like to send me some data or if you would like a copy of the spreadsheet feel free to send me an email to bdbrownbaseball@gmail.com Thanks, Bill

Thanks Bill.....maybe it's just me. I only have a few 42's.....
