Yankee minor leaguer help
 

Does anybody know who the 1950s Yankee catching prospect that accidentally killed his childhood best friend was? Sports Illustrated did an article on him several years ago but I don't remember the specifics. It seems he could hit but emotional problems kept him in the minors. Of course playing for the same organization as Yogi Berra, Elston Howard and Gus Triandos surely didn't help.
