T205 missing Ink
 

So I bought this card today didnt get it yet, but would love to hear what you guys think.

My card is on the left, (orange) with a correct version on the right, (Red)

I blew up the immage on my PC where i could really get into the color, and there was no red at all. So im guessing here that it is a card that didnt get the Red ink. ???

Can you please show us a scan of the reverse?

It's interesting, his lips have a touch of the orange.

I didnt get the card yet - I wish i had a scan of the back, i asked the seller for it, but he never responded. After looking at the card many times, and like i said zooming into it, all i could see was orange.

So I bought it anyway, without seeing a scan of the back. Took a shot. It was more than I would pay for a common, but if this is a card that is really missing the red ink, im happy. If not, well I took a shot.

Once i get the card ill post the back side.

would love the pros opinions on this card, love the set , and just any info would be helpful

Neat card. I am not sure of the colors they used but I wonder if there is an orange pass and a red pass or the orange color is a result of the yellow pass and a very light red pass. Either way...cool card.

Light red pass over orange. Look at the right boarder and you can see the orange sticking out from behind the red. Nice card though and looks better than the other IMO

Or that border is yellow and the red is light...wonder if it is faded too.

I also wondered if it was faded to at first. Untill I magnafied the scan on my pc, to where i could see the pixals basicly and only saw orange. So i desided to take a shot, and buy it.

Here is the card again, along with 2 other faded red background cards, im thinking its not faded, because a faded red u can clearly tell was red. This card is orange.

The Ball I had was very orange in person. It's darker in a scan than in person. There was also no ink layers to be seen. When you hold it and look there is no doubt it missed the red pass.

I can say that one of my Hoffmans dont exhibit the bright red either. Looks kinda like yours. I will see if I have any more to compare to.

Here is a close up of the top left of the card. Pixels are all orange, looks to me.

Pretty neat card you have there. I tend to agree with Joshua that it is more likely yellow with a light red overpass.

Are you sure the seller didn't adjust the color to enhance the pic of card?

nope, im not sure of that at all. I hope when it gets here, its looks like the scan from the auction.

taking a nervous look back at the scan.... the borders look good and the correct color, the light bule back behind his name looks ok to me. also the seller has the card with a back background which looks black. So, im hoping the card dosnt show up and look compleatly different and with a red background.

card showed up today....Its not orange, its red just like all the others. Very disappointed. But seller has refunded my money. :mad:

yea im glad he refunded it fast. i thought about asking the seller, before i bought it about the color, BUT the last time i aksed a specific question to a seller:

I asked about a scan of a back of a card it was fuzzy, so i asked if it was a pid 25 or 42, the seller respones its a 42 and he didnt realize it, and is taking the listing off and its not for sale, lol so i didnt want to ask.
