WTB: Dodgers Unopened/Sealed Food Card Packs

Unless otherwise noted, the listed player may be on the front OR back; Currently on the hunt for:

1994 Oscar Mayer Disc - Mike Piazza #27
1993 Jimmy Dean - Eric Karros #24 (so far only confirmed in center of pack)
1992 Jimmy Dean - Darryl Strawberry #9 (so far only confirmed in center of pack)
1991 Denny's - Eddie Murray #15 (hard to see through wrapper)
1990 Score McDonald's - Ramon Martinez #13 (an original pack of these has never been confirmed)
1990 Jumbo Sunflower Seeds - Eddie Murray #24 (with Pedro Guerrero on front)
1987 Ralston Purina - Fernando Valenzuela #11 (card on front)
1983 Kellogg's - Fernando Valenzuela #7, Pedro Guerrero #20
1980 Hunt's Bread - any Dodgers
1980 KMART - any Dodgers

I know this thread is for 80's or newer but since it ties in I am also looking for unopened Kellogg's packs for certain Dodgers players during the 70's.

To bump the thread I'll share packs I've obtained over the years. Some were easy to find, others took years. Not necessarily because they are rare but because their perceived value is low and nobody takes the time to list them on ebay if they have them. Or, if they do sell them, it's in large qty pack lots and I have to contact the seller and talk them into selling me just the one I want. I suppose the reason I like these is because it's a low budget way to collect modern cards and still maintain that "thrill of the hunt" feeling when I cross one off the list.

I appreciate the offer but I already have a couple of those sets. Pretty much I'm down to just what's on the list. But since we're on the subject, do you happen to have the blue and/or red foil variations of the ROY cards from this year in a wrapper? I only have one of each color, I would pop on another for the right price.

They look like this:

I don't know if you knew that the card is sealed in a pocket within the bread packaging, there's no separate wrapper for the card. There would be one for regular and giant.

Thanks for the info...I had seen them in the bag before but never knew if the pack inside could be detached or not, I really appreciate you letting me know. If I'm reading the name through the bag alright it looks like that's a Hershiser in there. If I'm right are you selling?

rgpete 04-08-2013 01:56 PM

I just want to make sure that I have a complete set of the Wonder Bags. Give me some time to check for an extra, but I do have one from an opened bag.

Sounds good, thanks for checking...I already have a loose single, just need the two bag variations. Anything you can sacrifice would be greatly appreciated!

93 milkbone

Here's the latest edition to my Dodgers pack hunt

1993 Milkbone unopened pack with Brett Butler on back.

Unfortunately, based on the way the set was distributed, I don't believe Butler appears on the front of any packs. I've spoken with a couple sellers who had 40+ packs each and this is the only pack that Butler appeared on. I suppose it's still possible though. If anyone finds one please let me know!

early 90's post packs

In my pursuit of unopened Dodgers food packs I crossed paths with a guy who obtained 10,000+ Post packs from an employee. He went through them all and pulled out over 50 different variations for me. Very fair price too.
If there are any team or player collectors out there that want his contact info let me know!

1990 AGFA packs

Got all excited when I found these packs on ebay recently, it's the first time I've ever seen any. Unfortunately, no packs with the only Dodger in the set, Maury Wills, on the back. At least now I have an idea of what they look like!

Received this earlier in the week. Updated original post to line out a couple I've obtained. Would REALLY love to get that Piazza Oscar Meyer disc in a pack. If anyone has a lead, please share!

Can anyone confirm if the 1983 kelloggs cards existed in sealed individual packs? I've only ever seen them in boxed set form.

Bcwcardz 03-11-2018 09:09 PM

I don't know if you seen these they were from Sams Club early 1998

4reals 03-20-2018 12:35 AM

Never saw that before...I drew the line on my Dodgers collection at 1995, the year I graduated high school. So it never made it on my radar. Thanks for sharing!
