Its off registered. Is that the "freak"?? Needs to be a bit more extreme than that IMO. Then again I'm sure I could be wrong. Consult a T205 expert about this card;)

swanstars 03-12-2013 08:54 AM

not sure either.... I put a "?" next to freak in title.
maybe if someone does know about this with T205's, they can chime in..
thanks!
Darrin

I'm no expert, but I agree with Andrew, its the registration, that's the yellow that should be under the gold. I think his valuation is spot on, possibly a bit more. Borderline "freak" imo.

EvilKing00 03-12-2013 01:23 PM

I have one like this as well, I call is a printing error, but freak would do just as well, lolol

t206 has different rules than all other issues...if this were a t206...it'd sell for a premium...as a t205...not so much...maybe someday?!

isn't there a rule for members not to interfere with bst transactions. It would have probably been best to send that comment in a pm.

So you are okay with some board member buying a card as something it isn't and being misinformed. This guy has it on Ebay now with a $200 BIN and is saying it is a print error even after information was given to him by knowledgeable collectors.

How about you mind your own Jim. Take it up with admin or Leon and if I was out of line by giving info. They can contact me.

***Just wanted to add that the OP and myself have had transactions in the past and is a good seller***

EvilKing00 03-13-2013 02:41 PM

id give you $12

T205

Of course it is a print error. Do you think the printer intended there to be a yellow line? Of course not. Therefore, it's an error. Now is it a freak? That is a matter of opinion. "Freak" is a nebulous term. I see nothing wrong with the listing. In fact, I kind of like the card. Most "freaks" are just ugly. IMO.

EvilKing00 03-13-2013 03:25 PM

i like the card too, i have a wilson just like it with the same line, But with an AB back.

"There should be no interference by 3rd parties within the Buy/Sell/Trade areas. Third parties are those not involved in a transaction. This includes, but is not limited to, posting current or historical cost information, commenting negatively on the offer or item, or anything that interferes with the listing in a negative way."

Difficult call on this one. We don't want interference but I think it's ok to ask a legitimate question. I don't think calling this a freak is too far off....to me it's a misprint but I don't think it warrants getting involved in. Freak, misprint, whatever....(and as most know I collect these so have a bit of knowledge)

Actually, in retrospect, this is interference as well as your first post was too, Andrew. What crossed the line is when you put what you thought the value should be. No way should that be discussed in someone else's BST thread. (you could discuss it in your own thread if it was your card). This is a clear cut rule. Please refrain from mentioning pricing in other folks threads in the future. Same rules for everyone...

Noted and edited. Sorry Leon and to the OP. You are correct Jim and I will revise my post

In all fairness, this isn't a normal "for sale", he IS asking for offers ... so I don't think putting a $ value is too out of line considering what he is asking for.

If he said "first $500 takes it" then sure, putting "that card is work $100" in the thread would be negative etc.

Its a nice card and I'd offer $25 for it. Best of luck w/your sale Darrin, I honestly hope you get what you are hoping to for it!
