It's not the fact that they're "dumb" necessarily, just shady is more like it. These bids IMO have agendas behind them with the intention of trying to re-sell the card as authentic to some unfortunate soul. Sadly this happens all the time.

Agree with Shoele$$ that it may very well be potential scammers bidding on the card. With 58 bids in the auction, you would think at first glance that there was a ton of interest in this fake card. But when you look closer, you see that there were only two different bidders above $12 -- and both of them have very low feedback.

not necessarily. i paid good money for a wagner distressed reprint for my collection because i will never be able to afford a real one.

Kevin you are very much more the exception than the rule in these cases. Been going on since I started Ebaying in 1998. Granted it was more prevalent back in those days as raw cards dominated Ebay listings, not as much now but it's still a common occurrence.

i even sent the guy an email saying how its not worth the few bucks, to end up with bad feedback. He responded, "thanks for the info"
