I should sign "Babe Ruth" on a few of the junk items I have sitting around the house! Sure makes them go for more money than they are worth.;)

The Babe went to a concert, had a couple hot dogs, a woman on each arm and got drunk and then signed this thing....YEAH RIGHTO...FAAAAKEEEEE:):)

As a collector of stringed musical instruments and baseball memorabilia who would never buy a Babe Ruth autograph...I can tell you that is a great buy! At the very least--just judging by the poor photos--it is a well-made piece of folk art. It could very well be a very good musical instrument. Sadly, it looks refinished, but still, I'd have been a happy buyer at that price.

I am not so sure about that. It may be an Amati. Let's send it to one of the alphabet experts for authentication, sticker and slabbing.

Good violins sometimes go cheap on ebay. I've bought two really nice ones off ebay - bought one cheap and sold it for 1/2 of what I paid :p
My next big project is learning how to play the current one, unless someone buys it first. |
