Anyone else ready for the season?

I am so stoked. Got my tickets for this year. Anyone else ready? And does anyone else make it to see the Bucs on a regular basis? If so it would be cool to meet up with some fellow members. Attachment 90664

As a Nats season ticket holder, I'm very excited for the season to start. World Series or bust.

I was a little disappointed when my tickets showed up on a plastic card. I miss the actual paper tickets.

Piratedogcardshows 03-05-2013 03:51 PM

So ready one can only pass the time for so long with Spring Training and the WBC.I hope to get up to another couple Nats games this year.Last season was so rewarding after all the 90+ loss seasons.

EvilKing00 03-05-2013 03:55 PM

deff ready for the season! BUT, im a met fan so im already looking foward to next year.

wow nats fan huh, i think it will be them and the angles in the WS, with the nats winning it. GL

I'm right there with ya.:D Also, as with every season, I'm always excited to get out to few more Indians games with the kids..

jimivintage 03-05-2013 04:10 PM

GO TRIBE! I hope they remember how to pitch! :)

npa589 03-05-2013 04:14 PM

Absolutely!

I'm a Cubs fan...

Don't tell anyone, but I share mlb.tv with my brother. Much cheaper than stupid DirecTV! I try to watch every game.

What!? That should be illegal. Is every team doing that now?

T206BrownHindu 03-05-2013 05:22 PM

Go Bucs!

Pirates fan here...let's finally get that winning season this year!

Mark

Yep, so far the Astros are undefeated. In fact, they haven't lost a single game since they joined the American League.

Yeah, they may end up tied with the Royals then! :D

AMBST95 03-05-2013 06:05 PM

Time for the Orioles to have back to back winning seasons. You can go an offseason in the AL East, acquire no one, and still outperform! Damn you Angelos!

z28jd 03-05-2013 06:40 PM

I'm looking forward to baseball starting, but as a Pirates fan, I'm not really looking forward to this season. I just don't think they will be that good this year despite high hopes from some fans. I cover minor league baseball(occasionally the majors) so I'm looking forward to that season starting. I already have about 20 games to cover, which are free with the press pass, but I still bought tickets to ten more already and I'm sure I'll go to more. Also next week I'll be going to Spring Training for the first time, so I'm not quite ready for the season to start.

g_vezina_c55 03-05-2013 06:41 PM

I have my ticket for 1 red sox game !

Jason Carota 03-05-2013 07:01 PM

Definitely looking forward to a new season for the Red Sox. Last year was painful. Hopefully Jackie Bradley, Jr. can find a full time spot on the team soon.

T206BrownHindu 03-05-2013 07:07 PM

The Bucs are probably looking at a 3rd place finish, at best (behind the Cardinals and Reds, and possibly the Brewers). Plus, no more gimmes with the Astros in the division, although they seemed to struggle with them, anyway.

I'm so excited! Go Yankees :). I'm also excited for high school ball. My practices start this weekend!

Eric72 03-05-2013 07:14 PM

My shortest post ever...

Go Phils!

Yep, I'm ready:)

T206BrownHindu 03-05-2013 07:27 PM

I think the Phils may sneak up on a few teams this year...

Headed down to Clearwater in a week. See the Phils, Os, Red Sox and Yanks over 3 games next weekend. Can't wait!

Pythonfactory 03-05-2013 07:57 PM

If anyone is considering MLB TV and hasn't purchased it in the past, I highly recommend it. I love watching the local team as much as the next person but it is a great experience to be able to watch all the studs and to-be-stars around the league (not to mention everyone on your fantasy team).

Go Mariners! The best we could hope for is the wild card but the future is bright with 3 pitchers and 2 hitters in the top 50 or so prospects.

I agree. Reds look to be the favorite, Cardinals will be strong and you can go either way with Brewers or Pirates, both look to be 76-80 win teams at this point. It's too bad the Pirates couldn't strike while the Cubs are still early in rebuilding because they have the money to stay near the top once they do. At least there is Gerrit Cole to look forward to, he looked great today vs Team Spain

I overheard someone the other day (here in Seattle) talking about how the Mariners were going to have a better record this year, simply because the Astros were moving to the division.

My goal is to go to every game when the Astros are in Seattle.

The Astros look like they are set up for a disastrous season. A baseball pool I'm in has them at 59.5 wins and I took the under. One of the easier picks I think

Orioles1954 03-05-2013 09:31 PM

American League Champs: Baltimore Orioles
National League Champs: Washington Nationals
World Series: Baltimore sweeps in 4

jcmtiger 03-05-2013 09:47 PM

As a Detroit Tigers Fan, I am looking forward to another trip to the World Series. With better results this year.

Joe

ValKehl 03-05-2013 09:52 PM

With Davey Johnson all but guaranteeing a World Series appearance this year (he's retiring after this season), my Nats won't be sneaking up on anybody this year! Yes, the Nats and Orioles in the W.S would be fantastic - nothing I would like better that to see the Nats beat Angelos's team, as a payback for all Angelos did to keep MLB out of Washington for so many years!
Val

BengoughingForAwhile 03-05-2013 09:59 PM

Anybody can have a bad century, but this might be, it could be, it is, our year! :D

Go Cubbies!

You Pirates fans are kinda mean.

But I get it - the Astros will cycle through a good spell eventually. The Pirates...maybe not.

As a Giants fan, I owned season tickets on the Arcade (right field wall) from 2005-2009. Within weeks of buying these tickets, we learned that Barry Bonds (the main reason we got Arcade) had a mysterious knee injury and missed almost the entire season. 5 miserable seasons followed and after my increasing travel load made going to weekday/night games impossible, I decided to drop my tickets. We've since won 2 WS Championships in 3 years. I learned my lesson- the world is better when I don't own season tickets!!

I'm fired up for the 2013 NL West race and some inevitably incredible matchups with that loaded Dodgers squad. Got my opening day tickets v the Cards and will be there in full force.. same as last October!(this is the closest to game face  I could do)

Looking forward to the Dodgers having a great year and get Don Mattingly a ring :)
Love the Tigers chances too. Solid team with great pitching
Play Ball!

oldjudge 03-06-2013 12:25 AM

I think this year will have a SoCal WS. As a Yankee fan I am more pessimistic than I have been in years. Thank goodness for the BoSox or the Yankees might be the division's basement dweller.

alanu 03-06-2013 12:45 AM

We started our fantasy draft tonight and that's getting me ready!

Rickyy 03-06-2013 01:16 AM

Yes..already got my tix for some SF Giants games this year...getting greedy 3out of 4!:D

Ricky Y

Joe_G. 03-06-2013 02:45 AM

Go Tigers!

The Tigers should be improved with the addition of Torii Hunter. Victor Martinez is back swinging a hot bat. SP should be solid. I very much like how Max Scherzer is coming along, may challenge JV as best pitcher on the staff. Relief is a big question mark however.

We used to buy partial season tickets when in Detroit, but alas I have to root from afar here in Iowa.

Ian, having met you and knowing what a great guy you are, I can only say that there must be no karma in regard to baseball fans.

Later tonight I'll post a cool Giants-thing that I found yesterday while going through some boxes.

Baseball Season

I've got a bunch of Jays tickets for this year. Really excited for the season to start - almost too excited.

I've been ready for the season since the end of last season. Once again I'll be rooting for the Mets to win and the fillies to lose. BASEBALL IS A GREAT GAME AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEN GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
