Question about my cobb T205
I am fairly new to collecting vintage baseball cards, I am trying to complete all the different HOF'ers from the T205 set (7 remaining)
Here's my question when I received my Cobb I notice that the width of the card was smaller then my other cards, is this normal for T205's, if you look at the photo of the my 1st 4 cards and then the cobb, you will notice quite a difference in the size of the Cobb. Thanks for any information, and please excuse my english grammar I am French Canadian. http://i1035.photobucket.com/albums/...ps054e950a.jpg http://i1035.photobucket.com/albums/...psb1cf6035.jpg |
T205 Cobb
Hello there.
Im not 100% sure, but sometimes SGC's custom inserts are a little wider than others. This may be the case. The card could just be a little narrow, but it does not looked trimmed to me. Just my two cents. Tony |
Agree with Tony on SGC, card looks to have an enlarged top to bottom border (so too big for normal T size insert) so I would bet they just used a larger insert. Sharp looking Cobb!

I agree with Tony and Scott. The card looks fine to me.

best way to know is measure each card, they should all be the same. Since they are all graded (SGC) the grading company im sure measured them as well, if a card was short it wouldnt grade, but rather just get an A. But i guess grading companys make mistakes, (as we know lol) measure each your self.

Even into the late 80's some card companies had a bit of trouble getting the size exact. 88 Donruss are very sloppy. Steve B |
