Pete Rose - Hits and Mrs.
 

Has anyone watched this "reality" show on the TLC Channel? They ran several episodes back to back this morning. Like a car accident...hard to turn away. Pete with his fiancee and girlfriend of five years, a beautiful Korean-American model with two kids and about 40 years younger than Pete. Pete being evasive about setting a wedding date. Pete visiting Cooperstown for his annual signings on Induction weekend and explaining to his fiancee's kids why he is not in the Hall of Fame. Pete getting a Cincinnati tattoo. Pete discussing his fiancee's decision to get breast reduction surgery. Pete trying to get another meeting with Bud Selig concerning his reinstatement. Pete running a baseball camp for kids and his future stepson crying that he hates baseball. Fascinating TV. Just a notch above "Jersey Shore" for entertainment value.

What a firecracker Pete is. He seems to always be full of drama and excitement. I wish things were simpler for Pete, but I am confident he would not like that sort of life. I suppose kind of similar to that of other huge stars in the past, like Ruth, Cobb, Mantle etc.

I personally believe Pete is possibly the best actual "baseball player" ever known to play the game. Of course, I may be biased, because he is my favorite player, though I only got to see him manage. With Pete outside of Cooperstown, I think defaces the credit of other HOFer's playing stats. Not sure how other living HOF members look at themselves in the mirror, knowing their hitting stats don't amount to Pete's. It's almost as if Cooperstown is saying, "You don't belong here, because your hit record is just too darn good."

I think he will get in once he's dead, other hof bet on games and are in, I get it but enough is enough, unfortunately he disgraced himself so much they will never let him live to see himself inducted.
