I find it interesting that 3 of the 4 top bidders in this auction have a 92% or higher bid activity with this seller. Jantz |
He got great prices on those big lots that went off tonight. I bid on all three of the 74+ t206 lots. I figured out approx. what they were worth(break up value) and all three well exceeded what I came up with.

You weren't the only one outbid on every auction. Jantz |

You know what would be interesting is to take all of the PWCC results for T206s in collector grades and post the same grade/cards for BINs at the underbidder's number. I wonder how many of those would actually sell? After all, you'd think an active chaser/bidder on T206s would be pleased to get the same grade/card for his underbid on the prior auction. I have an extensive SGC T206 collection and I'd not mind reaping some of those big bux; maybe I'll post a few and see what happens...

"I find it interesting that 3 of the 4 top bidders in this auction have a 92% or higher bid activity with this seller. " I keep reading posts that point to high bid percentages with certain sellers. For me searching ebay has become a major frustration so I am not surprised that there are alot of people now that just follow certain sellers and not try to browse ebay. In any business, if you do it well, you will build a loyal customer base. PWCC runs a great business for both buyers and consigners. |

What I find more disconcerting is seeing multiple bid retractions on some of the under bidders, but that's already being beaten to death in other threads. |

I actually thought the prices were pretty normal across the board. The Waddell was one of those anomalies that occur in T206 sales. Some buyers care little about the grade, and more about presentability. This Waddell was almost perfectly centered, and was very clean.
In the past month, I've had my fair share of ??? prices on BINs for T206s. As far as any insinuations go regarding Bid %, I think Brent/PWCC is as good as it gets. Probstein....not so sure, but, I would definitely not try to group PWCC with Probstein. |
I don't understand all the fuss. Everyone knows that selling lots of vintage cards in straight $9.99 (or 99 cent) auctions is the way to make the most money - that's why all the big sellers do it, and none of them use the model of high-priced BIN's.

This is just an observation, but I participated in Brent's auction last night. I thought some of the common SGC 60 cards went off quite reasonable. Honestly, I thought some of the SGC cards were overgraded. Another e-bay seller last night sold an SGC 50 Chief Bender portrait in a Sweet Caporal back that had 2 eraser marks on the back of the card. The letter "S" was erased in the word "years."
