Brooklyn Atlantics cdv hammer price contest + prize
While preparing some of my own ebay auctions last night, I found a large glossy print of the Library of Congress Brooklyn Atlantics cdv. I bought it 10 years or so, ago on ebay - it's 11 x 13.25", and has the tiny notation at the bottom right: 'Prints and Photographs Division, Library of Congress', so I assume I either bought it from their ebay rep, or an ebayer who bought these in bulk from the loc. So if you were ever curious what the loc would send you if you ordered one of their prints, here's your chance to find out:
Whoever can come closest to guessing the hammer price for the Saco version of this item, wins my loc print. Free shipping and everything. Here's the auction site - looks like our deadline is at 5:00pm Eastern today: http://www.sacoriverauction.com/auct...atlantics-card PS - this print is not as impressive as you might have imagined (no comma after impressive). It's sort of fuzzy and doesn't include the borders. |

Sold for $80,000 without B/P. I still think its a ugly looking card.

To someone in the room--interesting
|
I thought it ended at $82,500 or was that the next bid they were looking for?
|
It showed $80,000 on my screen with $82,500 as the next.
|
That's a record for a baseball CdV.

We have a winner. HBroll - please PM your mailing address and I'll send the LOC print to you in the morning.
