REA - 2 Auctions in 2013
Just a heads up - according to a post on REA's facebook account dated Jan 28th, it appears that they will have a second auction this year in the Fall of 2013.
2 REA auctions a year = awesome!! Tony |
That's great news for the hobby, horrible news for my savings account.

Double trouble!!! (And I love trouble...) :D

Here's the post
Robert Edward Auctions
January 28 It's not too late, but it's getting down to the wire! There's only a little more time to consign items to our spring auction. You must contact us TODAY to make arrangements for items to be in our office within the next two weeks. After that, we'll only be able to accept very special, higher value items. Any items received after the deadline will be placed in REA's INAUGURAL FALL AUCTION to be held later this year. The addition of a second auction will make it easier for us to process material year-round and will give buyers and sellers more opportunities to work with Robert Edward Auctions, an auction house they have come to know and trust. This will also mean that deadlines are more firm than in past years since the time between auctions will not be as long, so if you're even THINKING about selling in the spring auction, call us TODAY! We are especially interested in discussing single graded cards, game used memorabilia, complete sports and non-sports sets, all 19th-century cards and memorabilia, display pieces, and unopened material! This year's auction promises to be another great one with exciting new discoveries, important rarities, and many classic cards and sets! Call us today to discuss including your material in the hobby's most anticipated event! |
I believe
They stated this as their intention when they hired Brian.

That is excellent! Going to have to hoard my pennies for the next few months.

REA is a great auction!!!
Is the first auction going to include the same massive amount of quality goods as in past REA auctions? If so, what does this mean that REA is now having two auctions? Are people starting to let loose of a little cardboard NOW and putting it on the blocks? Or is it because there is a huge demand for a quality auction house to sell more material? |
