1900's Embossed Post Cards NY Giants Question??

I'm curious about these 1900's embossed post cards if some of the cards might actually be NY Giant Players ?--Note NY on one of the players jersey--Also there is a very faint N on the pitchers pose--these don't go for much $$, so no biggie, just always wondered???--thanks for looking!--

Good eye. I can't see it that well, but it looks more like the fancy 'NY' from the Highlanders.

I wonder - if the Gaints played the Siants, who would win?

Good eyes! I can add that the card of the player sliding is the embossed version of the Jimmy Collins card from the Red Belt series.

These cards were also used by the Lincoln, NE minor league team circa 1907...I have found two so far.

Edited: nevermind - just spotted this image in the earlier post (bad eyes)

Dan, was that embossed PC made from an actual image of the Nebraska player, or did they just produce stock embossed cards for each position? I assume the latter, but you know what they say about 'ASS U ME' :)

I would like to think they made them for the whole team, but I've only found two and they're the same player. I keep searching though.

Weird how things stick out to you. I knew I had seen that pose before, this is 100% the photo in the lower right in the group photo above, and the player is George Winter of the Boston Red Sox, I have the original on ebay right now!

Nice discovery Rhys!

Wonderful, your photo comparison cracked it wide open and establishes the fact these embossed post cards were copied from photos of major league baseball players in action!--thanks!

How serendipitous! Good job spotting, Rhys!
