RIP Earl Weaver
GREAT manager, and maybe the first "entertaining" manager. We've lost another Hall of Famer, Rest in Peace!

Oh no...this is the first I've heard about it. I met him at the HOF a few years back and he was very nice, and nothing like his on field persona. He led some great Baltimore teams in the 60's and 70's and will be missed. RIP Earl.

First I heard ....Darn it., Met him once was riding an elevator , right after he was inducted into the Hall , No one on the elevator recognized him except me. I said out loud to no one in particular "Congratulations skipper" .... as he got off the elevator he smiled back a genuine smile and said "Thank you"
