plank....
thanks guys!!
plank printer scraps missing colors are both my second dream cards, with of course wagner scrap or factory issue at my dreamcard.......everyday i dream about getting the wagner, for many many years now.....it's haunting me:o...
if it takes me a lifetime, i'm going keep working at it:D...i
Barry,
psa nor sgc label any cards as "scrap" or "hand-cut"....I have been begging for a label on the flip as "printer scrap" catagorization, but sgc is leaving that distinction soley to the collector to differentiate, i have not contacted psa about it, but will see how these tpg handle it(it would be a dream job of mine to be a t206 "scrap" grader one day)....they(sgc) will put sometimes just "A" or "color variartion" ..."missing ink" and some other differentitions...in the case of psa ,"A","trimmed" or "no holder" or "no voucher" "missing ink" are found sometimes on a scrap's label....
....Scrap is "in the eye of the beholder"....well that assumption of a card being scrap is determined by us "experts":D....I can usually tell a scrap a mile away, or anyone else for that matter when they are dramatically askew , and those cards i put huge premuims on(the obvious hand cut off sheet with larger wild cuts, missing 2 or more colors, extreme off register or miscut, overprints , ghosts,ect)....obviously the more "dramatic" the problem with the card, the more obvious the scrap....
I LOVE SCRAP(t206) as you can tell....who wouldn't love a "snowflake" one of a kind t206??????even the similiar scrap off the same sheet are in their own way different than the others....the printer didn't know that over 100 years ago, by in adventently set up the presses or messing up the lithography process would create these "works of art" to some people .......they are beauties in my opinion......beauty is in the eye of the beholder here, and i think more collectors are starting to realize the mystique about these odd, rare, one-of-akind t206.....I LOVE OWNING A CARD NO ONE ELSE CAN OWN:)
or only a small amout are available....an alternative printer scrap t206 set would be the ultimate inmo....btw....just the coolness:cool: factor of some of these freaks that are created....maybe tpg co.s will see it my way and put on the flip PRINTER SCRAP" when the obvious ones ....btw...in all due respect to the players pictured and are long gone:o......but i dont want to start a t206 print scrap rant:D
some scraps are a little tougher to differentiate, and those that are "borderline" scrap and not as obvious scrap i call "tweener" scrap and give half the price tag....this is the grey area of the scrap collecting.....some factory distributed cards may appear to be scrap, but fall short....
SO, TPG ers.......FREE SOME SCRAPS and differentiate on the label...
IMHO:
PLANK FLIP SHOULD STATE:
T206 PRINTER SCRAP PLANK
:D
Btw Barry:
