1935 Schutter-Johnson (R332)
I don't post here much, but I was hoping someone could help give me some information on these cards. How difficult are they to find? Are they popular amongst collectors. I do not see many come up for sale, but that could be because no one wants them. I picked up these today at an auction. Another bidder got the rest of them (about 10 more). Maybe they are a member here. Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Fairly difficult to find but not too popular because of their relative "ugliness" and some commemorative nature. Their lower values don't equate to their scarcity as is the case with many obscure pre-war cards.
Here are 2 HOF'ers on one card. Pardon the other scans... |
Tough set to put together and a killer tough wrapper to get! I paid a fortune for my wrapper and it took me about 15 years to complete the set.
I like them because they are tough and undesirable. The undesirable part doesn't help your value unfortunately! A decent set, was fun to complete dan |

I have the Grove from this set. I think it is (by far) my least favorite Grove card. I wish it showed his face rather than just his hand.
