Im a Babe Ruth State Commissioner in Ct and we work very closely with all the leagues in Ct, I live 30 minutes from Newtown Ct and have many friends in the community. What these people are going thru no one should have to ever see this in a lifetime.
Any support (1 dollar) would be welcome.
Check donations to underwrite support services, immediate needs for funeral expenses for the immediate famlies of the victims can be mailed to:

Sandy Hook School Support Fund

Leon if you feel this not to be appropriate I understand but I feel in my heart that the Net54 community would like to have the information.

Also as a little follow up on Friday 12 /21 at 9:30 am our time All churches in the state of Ct will pause for a moment of silence and ring the bells 26 times for the new angels in heaven! If you think of it please take the time and stop and say a prayer for all at what is suppose to be a joyous time of the year. Thankyou all and God Bless. Al

Thanks for posting this, Al. Another friend of mine from Connecticut, who also lives 30 miles from Newton, was in a chat room with me when this occurred on Friday. I hope you all begin to get peace back in your lives soon. I'll put a check in the mail today.

Scott

Consider it sent.
Yours is actually a great post because even with all the media overflow they never really much told anyone how to contribute.

Is there any paypal account send up? If not check will be sent. Teaching my k-5th graders in the past 2 days have been tough. For a split second I look at them and think it could've been my kids. My hearts / prayers go out to everyone involved.

I think that's part of what has everyone so shook up -- it could have been any town or any school, and it doesn't have that remote feel that some tragedies have. My kids are older now, not sure how I would have handled it or reassured them when they were younger.

Very appropriate. In times of disaster well all pitch in. I remember the tornado that hit my hometown and outpouring of support here as well as CU. Glad to help even a little bit. Thanks for posting and cannot imagine the heartbreak going on there. I will pass this along on FB as well.
