1964? Auravision Baseball 33 1/3 RPM Records Question
1 Attachment(s)
I found this at an antique mall. Although the set in the SCD Price Guide (I have an old) says 1964, is it possible it could have come out sooner. I say that because the wrapper (which I have never seen before) came with two 1962 Salada Coins. Also, the wrapper names the set...It should be called "Baseball Stars Picture Records". I have no idea of value but my gut tells me its rare.

Carl, the Auravision records are from either 1962 or 1964.
The 62's are quite a bit more valuable, but still not too expensive. I haven't seen that wrapper before, I assume most got thrown away upon purchase and as follows, they probably are rare, but likely not worth much although it's a kinda neat ancillary item. The 64's alledgedly were found in a big horde and can be found in NrMt condition and cheap. |
I just thought it was unusual that the wrapper was with two 1962 Salada coins. Maybe the ad was actually inserted in the Salada box. I doubt it was in a Topps pack or more would be floating around. I threw it on Ebay with a low min to see if there is any interest. I always like to get the ancilliary items that go with sets. Thanks for the info.

Cool wrapper. Do you still have it? The wrapper lists 16 players, which rules out the 62 set.
