I had a great time at the show yesterday. It was nice to see so many familiar faces, and it seemed like the turnout was bigger than it's been in a while. I much prefer Mark's shows to the bigger Cow Palace or Mosconi Center shows. There's more vintage stuff, very little shiny new stuff, and tons of old PCL stuff. If you can only make it to one Bay Area show, this is the one ...

Sounds like a great show. I would consider coming out to it but it would be hard to justify coming from Texas, unless there were other things planned too. Always good to hear of nice and enjoyable shows. We have a few small local ones and I always try to make them. There is nothing like conversing about our hobby in person.

Thanks

Thanks to those who came out in the blustery 70 degree weather. There were some great conversations and judging by the people exiting the building, a lot of material changed hands. An extra thanks to the few dozen that drove over 150 miles to get there, especially with $4 a gallon gas. There seemed to be extra anticipation during the weeks leading up to the show. For the first time in 28 years, an exhibitor arrived to set up at the show before I did (4 AM). The next show is in June. Hope to see you there.... For those considering promoting local shows, I'd encourage it. They don't have to be big to have a good selection of material and can be tailored to the needs of your local collecting community. If you build it they will come:)
