And You Thought You Knew Every T206 Brand Back
Bet this one was unknown to at least one person

unknown
Maybe the grader forgot to look at the back of the card. Might have been busy that day and didn't have time to turn it over.

I wasn't aware that they actually put "unknown" on the slabs. I thought the "unknown" was a more of a designated generic term for the ones that they didn't brand, as opposed to a legitimate "slab designation".. As much as I hate to ask this of a relatively common card, but is this a fake flip? because there appears to be some paper loss and significant staining on the front, that would lead me to believe that it's not even worthy of a 3..

Look at this PSA card from the same seller. Not trying to pick on them here, I was just looking to see if the seller had other PSA cards near the same serial number, which they do. Just not this one...

weird.....

And You Thought You Knew Every T206 Brand Back
Description shows this:
T206 UNKNOWN DODE PASKERT PSA 3 PIEDMONT 350 BACK |
Quote:
My best guess was that all the grader saw that day was Drum, Uzit and Lenox backs, so when he saw a Piedmont, he didn't know what it was |
|
Simply a labeling error. Just needs to be sent in for a free fix.

I thought it was more funny, than a major labeling problem. If it were mine, I'd keep it.
Don't really need to know on the label what the back is anyway. I have the dexterity and strength to turn a card over, when combined with the ability to read and associate the back with the front, I am then equipped with all the information I personally need to know. In no way would the label throw me off. |
So ......"Piedmont" is 8 letters. "Unknown" is only seven.
|
?
You mean there is advertising on the back? I never noticed!

The T204 set is known to have some obscure players such as Tom Reilly, who played just five games in 1909. Reilly had a 16 year old teammate that played just one game in 1909 named Frank Blank, perhaps your card is him, Leon.
