Early Whitey Ford autos.
I was watching an old Whitey Ford interview this morning wherein he was discussing his book "Few and Chosen." It was mentioned that very early in his career he would sign autographs as Edward Ford. Does anyone have or has seen such a Ford auto? Whitey Ford autos abound but I would imagine the Edward Ford auto would be a rare thing indeed.

"Edward Whitey Ford" Isn't incredibly rare, they can be picked up 100% authentic for sub $100, sometimes sub $50.
About four years ago there was a lot at hunts auction for checks, 15 of the 20 were "Edward Ford", one "Ed Whitey", four "Whitey", they sold for $32.50 each. I've seen a team signed ball from 54 that had "Ed Ford" on it a while back but I don't think I have ever seen a single signed ball. I think a single signed ball with "Edward" would get a solid premium Sean |
Let me see if a understand this correctly. So, the Edward "Whitey" Fords were later autographs and not at all hard to come by. But a vintage Edward Ford autographed ball would be a trickier find and would bring a premium.
