I never seem to get the email reminders for this auction...(old problem)...maybe I am the only one with this problem?

Good luck Lee!
Mac, do you have a Junk mail folder these could be filtering into? |
Email Reminder
Mac,
Not sure what happened this morning, thought it was sent. I got notice from a couple of others and then realized I had not confirmation. I have resent the notification and hopefully everyone has now got it. Try to hit as many avenues as I can with the reminder. Good Luck to everyone, stay up late. :D Lee Behrens 845-849-1276 |
How did everybody do? Did you get some rest and/or the items you wanted?
|
Very happy with my wins...a couple t202 mattys, a t204 and the small lot of m101-2's.
Thanks Lee for a great auction. Mac |
just missed out on a rough condition Hindu back...just as glad someone took me off the hook on it. Not sure I would have been happy with it in the long run.
|
I picked up a T206 Broadleaf back to check off my list and was very happy with the price! I also picked up a Coupon back and the nice thing is that both cards were of Dode Paskert. Nice start to a back run!
|
I was looking at the Fiene Drum Back but could not pull the trigger. Anyone have a thought as to the final price ($750+BP) given the Auth condition? I thought the back looked pretty good but the small tear at the bottom and heavy creasing on the front of the card.
Just like BBCard's comment above I am not sure I would have been happy with it in the long run... |

I would have had buyer's remorse. Not a terrible price, but you should be able to pick up a more presentable low grade Drum Back for that amount. |
I know you true vintage freaks will look down your noses at this :D but I was pleased to snag a '56T in PSA 8 to upgrade my set. Sterling / Lee run a great auction site!

http://www.sterlingsportsauctions.co...3603a_med.jpeghttp://www.sterlingsportsauctions.co...13603b_lg.jpeg I like miscuts. There seems to be something about huge borders on t205s that intrigue me. Also Miscuts are a thing that bring down grades yet were done at the factory so shouldn't be included in "wear and tear" grading in my mind. It is good to be patient in this hobby. My winning bids were 37% total for the exact same cards than if I would have bought them off ebay this past summer. |
Last of the big spenders here. Picked up a W572 Aaron Ward real cheap for my raw W572 set. 33% done now.

My one winning arrived today to fill a hole in my type collection. Thanks, Lee, for the SUPER-FAST service! The Type 3s are the toughest of the three Standard Biscuit issues, and it's a member of my beloved 1924 World Series champs - what more could I ask for?!! (well, maybe a D350-3 of WaJo or Sam Rice instead of Joe Judge!!) :)

Mine arrived today as well, fortunately in a box small enough to fit in my mailbox out of the awful weather.
Thanks, Lee! Bill |
