Picked up tonight, one of the greats who should be considered for the Hall. Ended career with several very good years in the OF.

BIG THANK YOU to Steve B for sending me these two stamp sheets...for free! Going to get them framed for the boy's room. Not available in Canada. :D

I guess I have expanded to series and factory numbers from simple brands/colors. Here is my latest addition.
JimB P.S. Sorry for the big size. I am not sure how to change that. http://photos.imageevent.com/jimblum...0SC%20350f.jpghttp://photos.imageevent.com/jimblum...0SC%20350b.jpg to add to this: http://photos.imageevent.com/jimblum...back%20run.jpg Edited to add: Big thanks to Chris Browne for stitching this together for me. http://photos.imageevent.com/jimblum...20big.tiff.jpg |

Leon...great cards....chris, thats a sweet miscut....
jim b awesome!!!YOU NEED A BLANK B WILLIS NOW;) :) |
Glad you got that Sovereign miscut Chris.
|
Greg,
Very cool Smokey Joe. Chris, Do you consider your Sovereign a miscut or a misprinted back? I'm asking because the front looks spot on so I don't see it as a miscut. Rather the back of the whole sheet was misprinted and they cut it anyways. Nice pick up in either case. Thanks, AndyH |
Nice run of Willis cards, Jim.

I've been wanting an Irwin Port. for a long time, glad to have one now...
Wouldn't Chris's Sovereign be a mis-print and not a mis-cut? |
Thanks guys, Erick pointed this one out to me. I was also thinking that these likely are misprints vs miscust, somehow the sheet wasn't setup correctly in the printer.

Nice Irwin, BTW- beautiful card !! Sincerely, Clayton |
Thanks Clayton!
|
Chris, That's the 1st Sovereign mis-cut I've ever seen. Nice card.
|
I'm thinking maybe we have 2 Pick-Up threads per month, one for T206 Pick-Ups and another for all other cards. Which one do you think will have more replies at the end of the month. Maybe this one should be a poll question as well........
|
there's no question the t206 pickups thread would win!

JimB - I'm not a T206 guy, but that run is amazing. Are there any (besides) a blank, that you are missing?

I am missing black Lenox, American Beauty 460, and a couple Piedmonts and Sweet Caps that should not be tough. Before I was just going for brands, but have expanded to series and factory #s. THe Piedmont I do have is fact. 42 which is the only tough one among those. Having brown Lenox, Drum, and Uzit makes it feel downhill from here. JimB |
Here's one for you Phil (I think)...
Have always wanted a period Joe Jackson piece and liked supplements, so this one found it's way in to the collection. This supplement pictures all of the "Eight Men Out". Joe is in the first row, 2nd from the left. 1917 Chicago Sunday Herald http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/r...psfccf2d2c.jpg |
Forgot to add this one, another supplement
1915 Baseball Magazine Detroit http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/r...psb89a507b.jpg |
Very nice pick-ups on the Sox & Tigers Supplements.
|
Nice supplements
|
Thanks Phil and JoeAdcock.

I can see that logic to two threads, but honestly I enjoy having a thread filled with various cards.
|
New to these parts. If my pictures are not up to "par', PLMK and I will wait till I purchase a scanner.
Mail haul from Tuesday! http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w..._2007/t206.jpg |

Very happy to see this in the mail this morning

So recent, I'm just posting the images the seller sent to me, as I haven't had a chance to bust him out yet. |
My first T200, it doesn't compare with most of what's shown here but it's my first and I'm happy with it!

oldcardboard, two things:
1- I can't believe the name oldcardboard wasn't already taken, good job. 2- You have an eye for condition, screw grading eh? Here's another pick-up of mine, the first OJ miscut I've been able to bid on, although I believe it's hand cut. |

I know it is only one quarter of a 1919-23 Universal Toy & Novelty (tip of the hat to Rhett's site for the ID), but I don't care. Thank You, Carol:
