Texas Tommys
In thinking about rare and unusual type cards, one of the most challenging issues in my 25+ years of collecting has been the Texas Tommy.
I recently went through more than 200 auction catalogs and found only 4 Texas Tommy examples --- that is nearly 100,000 lots. Does anyone know the real story why these cards are so rare? Does anyone have examples that they would like to share? Bruce Dorskind America's Toughest Want List |
Hey Bruce- welcome back to the board. Hope you are doing well.

Welcome Bruce!
I believe Leon's auction has one, unless I'm confusing the issue. I personally don't know anything about them, or if there are more than one issue... |
Welcome back Bruce.

Issue #7 of Old Cardboard has a great article on them. I think the type 2's are amazing.

Leon,
Glad you found your quarter. Respectfully, Dave |
That signed TT Joe Wood from Dick Dobbins is killer...

wasn't Leon's "Trucker Boy" find mostly Texas Tommy's, or am I thinking of something else?
