It seems as though folks would rather post their vintage game used stuff in our regular memorabilia forum. That is fine and we will continue to monitor the GU sections on this board for a while longer. If there isn't much activity eventually they will be condensed into other sections. This GU section division was only about helping our board members so it doesn't matter to me where the threads are posted. I would prefer not to have too many sections with very little action though. thanks again...

I agree. Give it a little more time, see how it goes.

My opinion is if there is a gu section, it should just be one for all years. In part to pool members and because many collectors collect both old and new.

Yeah, probably the 'old' game-used stuff would get posted in the regular forum and you would end up with autographs and new stuff separated out from the rest of vintage.

One reason is old game used is scarce-- just check a Legendary auction, they will have just a handful of Pre-1960 jerseys--, so there are fewer current 'just bought' topics to post about.

I just notice that game used universe has numerous categories, but none separating old from new. Old and new are always part of the same section.

I agree- I actually collect both vintage and modern items, so having both combined would be cool. It might also be beneficial to have either a game used for sale section in either the buy/sale/trade page(I know there's one, but its mixed in with a bunch of other items), or to have one in the game used section. A want list section would also be beneficial so it wouldn't clog other pages.

I think it hurts that we really can't get the word to other members over on GUU. I know there are several members here who post on both, but alot of people over there don't know about this board. I tried making a thread about Net54, but like always the mods deleted it because they don't like good things for collectors.

Then take the top 40 posters from there and send them a personal email. The word would get out.

No worries Brock. Also, quite a few people don't dilineate the categories and still put GU stuff in the general memorabilia section. I am in no hurry to condense the categories or do away with a GU one...though maybe they do get put together (pre and post 1980) eventually. Not a big deal...happy collecting.

OH, by the way, I don't really blame the other forum for not wanting and letting you post about this one. That is treading on their turf, so to speak, so it does make sense no to allow it.
