Hunt/Philly Show this weekend

Anyone going? I'm thinking about Friday, but with lower expectations.

Al C.risafulli 09-26-2012 05:25 PM

I'll be there both Friday and Saturday, for pretty much the whole show.

I'm going to judge the show not so much by prices, but by # of dealers/tables set up in the room. Just when I thought this show was down for the count, it sort of came back ( at least in my opinion ) last June. So we'll see, I'll look to get down there to check it out. I'd love for Levi to step up and go with his mega set up that he once had before scaling it down a couple years ago.

Valley Forge

I'll be there on Saturday. I have a few cards for SGC to grade, and I always enjoy talking to all the folks at the auction houses.

Al, I never met you before, but I'm excited for your upcoming auction. Look forward to meeting you.

I'm going to be there on Saturday, first time going to a show since collecting T206s (used to buy a lot of wax before). Anyways, hope to pick up something cool and if anyone wants to meet up, please shoot me a PM!

Do you know if SGC is taking submissions, too?

Despite my negative feelings towards Hunt

I am going to attend because a friend I rarely get to see anymore asked me to stop up. Probably Friday night or Saturday morning. PS I like Cheryl Goyda, also been nice and professional to me, just not the rest of the team.

I'll be there Saturday

I was there today, pretty decent turnout of dealers, foot traffic seemed kind of light. The grading companies were all there with SGC doing on-site at $20 for any card up to $250 value, a pretty good deal IMHO and one that I took advantage of.

I was thrilled to pick up a '25 Exhibit Gehrig RC thanks to Dave at Baggers Sportscards (not sure why the wavy lines show up in the sacn).

Very impressed with the dealer turnout, almost double of what this show had last fall. Some decent prices, etc... Pete Retzlaff was a no show, so first and foremost hoping everything is ok with him. I don't collect autographs, but I got the idea that it would be cool to have him sign my 59 bazooka issue. They ( Hunt Auctions? ) collected the items that people wanted signed, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Sunday's for me

In the last 30+ Years my dad and I have only missed a handful of shows, the last one being one of them.....so I will head over tomorrow with the hopes of seeing some familiar faces, while trying to find some Autographed pictures for a Silent Auction coming up for our Little League.

Contact Info

Does anyone have the contact info for Joe (didn't get his last name), he was at Bill Goodwin's table at the show? He had several high end Ruth pieces. Any help would be appreciated.

That is probably Joe Tomu.sello (SP?). He does a lot of writing for Bill. He is a member here and checks in frequently, probably daily. His user ID is

Vintageclout

You can PM him from the board or he might see this thread and reach out to you...best regards
